This year I got a burst of energy and wrote down all my resolutions for 2015 , January 2 by 9 a.m.
Then I read an article that talked about “lending yourself a hand.” I realized when I was reading this why I don’t work on my goals like I would like to.
Lending yourself a hand is about self-friending. Self-friending is about knowing what you do when you are at your best. Also, it’s about knowing how to get back on track when you’re having a bad day, stressed about kids, relationships, job, bills, etc… It’s about knowing how to switch gears when you are not in a positive place, unmotivated or feeling stuck.
So, try this… write down a list of all the things you do really well, all the things you enjoy and then also those things that make you feel re-energized. Keep this list with you.
When you get in a rut, read the list. The list is about you and what you do well. It gives you a tool to use instead of getting in a mental rut.
Be a friend & support system to yourself and find you new goals fun & helpful going forward.
